- ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪I went to Harmony Crossing because my Vet was closed. The staff and Dr. Richter could not have been better. They recognized how distressed I was over my 13 year old Blue Tick Hound, Belle. My usual Vet had been pumping prednisone into Belle, which was masking Belle's main health problems. Dr. Richter took X-rays and saw what the problem was "tumors". He recommended that I take Belle to The U Ga Vet School. He and his staff made the arrangement for Belle to be seen as an emergency case. Prior to leaving for Athens, Dr. Richter prepared me for the worst possibilities. So when the Doctors in Athens informed me that there was no hope for Belle surviving surgery, I made the difficult decision to have her put to sleep and stop her from suffering any longer. The following day Dr. Richter called to express his condolences and now a week later I just received a card from the staff. We loved Belle and miss her dearly. When we decide to adopt another pet, Harmony Crossing Animal Hospital will be our first stop.June 28, 2017by Griff Polatty
